2.0 out of 5 stars Cheap at a high price, May 11, 2009

I bought this product to alert me while doing presentations. The vibrating alarm was what attracted me to it. However, it is cheap on two counts: It is constructed very cheaply - feels like a $3.75 special. And it the technology employed in it is well below basic. Setting the time that it is to beep/vibrate is a nightmare. If you have at least half an hour and infinite patience to set the timer, you'll love it. Or if you really don't care what length of time you set the timer for, fine, this is your device. If not, buy a different gadget.

When setting the minutes, it goes so fast that it goes by the time I want, again and again and again. If I press the slow set button, it progresses 5 seconds at a time. So if I want to set it for 8 minutes 15 seconds, I have to press the little tiny button with the tip of my fingernail 123 times. Mind you, it can have 3 alarms. That means that you could ALSO set it for 7 minutes 30 seconds and press that LITTLE TINY button... Read more

If you need to turn it off (say going on an airplane), you need to take out the battery. Didn't know this before I got it.

1.0 out of 5 stars 2 months and dead, August 2, 2010

My timer is only two months old. I liked it when I first bought it. It worked great and was a good size. But the price is enough that it should last longer than 2 months. It died at 2 months old and a new fresh battery did not help. Into the trash and now I will look for a different brand.
