I liked the Kelty for when I wanted some back support when sitting on a picnic table bench or inside my tent when camping. However, I didn't like that, due to the frame, it just folded over once where the back and the seat meet and thus was somewhat bulky. So, when I saw this, I figured I wanted to give it a try.It isn't quite as comfortable as the Kelty (the frame v. rolling "slat" design may be the reason), but it is still comfortable. It isn't quite as user friendly with a lot of straps to deal with, though it is pretty easy to use after the initial minute or so to see how it all comes together. As for which style is easier to transport, this one that rolls up or Kelty, it really is a wash. The Kelty folds fairly flat and can easily store on top of the gear in your car trunk.
